1. Before you sign up to any deal, make sure you have an idea of what you want and what you need from the provider.
2. Try to get a contract that involves you using more than one handset so that you can have one bill for several employees.
3. Think about whether calls or texts will be used the most, and take this into consideration when choosing a contract, getting a deal with the most of what you use included.
4. Try to get free calls between the same networks, which most providers allow. Essentially you will be getting free calls between everyone in your business.
5. If you have offices abroad, have a look for deals that do special offers on international calls.
6. Every 12 months when your contract is up, review it and have a look around, don't just renew it as you might find a better deal.
7. If you are currently using a pay as you go phone for business calls and you are spending over £15 per month, you will benefit from swapping to a contract deal.
8. Think about how many people within the business will be needing a business mobile. If it is above 5 it is worth getting a combined one, but below you might as well get separate deals for each.
9. Make sure you choose a tariff with data allowance so that you are not charged extra for all the emails that you send and receive from your phone.
10. Always tell the provider if you have seen a better deal and let them try and beat it. Elite Telecom has many providers so can usually do that for you.

Hands up who watched the Big Fat Quiz of the Year last night? I did, and it was brilliant. It has caused me to see the word “Apple” in a whole different light, and now, thanks to comedic giant Michael McIntyre, I can’t seem to shake the term “AhhPull” from my mind.
It’s only day three of the year and the technology firm has already managed to anger most of Europe, Australia and New Zealand to what they are insisting is just a ‘software glitch.’
Most users of Apple’s iPhone were left frustrated as the malfunction meant that recurring alarms did not go off on the first two days of the year.

The company confirmed there was an issue caused by malfunctions over clock changes. Spokeswoman Natalie Harrison told Reuters: "We're aware of an issue related to non-repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2.
"Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3."
No reason has been given for the glitch, which affected mobile phones using the latest iOS 4.0 operating system.
People flocked online in their thousands to vent their anger via Facebook and Twitter, which was obviously a good use of their time considering they were probably already late for work.
Happy New Year folks!
Orange, the popular mobile phone operator, has just launched a new service which should help out the health service when it comes to communications and expense. The new service is the Orange Health Gateway and it’s aimed at the UK health market.
The Orange Health Gateway provides medication updates, appointment reminders, test results and emergency messages over mobile phones. The Orange Health Gateway can be used to provide results and appointment reminders to patients and emergency messages between members of staff.
According to Orange, the new service will help the healthcare industry save around £300 million through appointment reminders alone – not to mention the amount of time it will save!
The Chief Executive of France Telecom, parent company of mobile operator Orange, has spoken out about the company’s plans.
Stephane Richard has said that France Telecom has no current plans for a large merger or a large acquisition. However, the company is still eyeing up the market for possible smaller acquisitions that will help to increase the revenue of France Telecom. This will not affect dividends though, Richard has said.
Stephane Richard has also commented on a possible partnership between France Telecom’s Orange Cinema channel and Canal Plus SA, saying that the two are currently holding talks.
Mobile phone operator Orange is to launch a new Telepresence Community solution that will be aimed at its business mobile customers.
In partnership with Cisco, Orange Business Services customers will be offered access to Cisco’s popular video conferencing network. Once this project completes its trial stage, it will be offered free to Business Services customers until March 2011.
According to Orange, the new Telepresence Community solution will allow business customers to access around 800 video conferencing locations.
Ed Vaizey, the government’s new Communications Minister, has announced that he will outline plans for a UK spectrum auction just before parliament’s summer recess in late July. According to Vaizey, the government has been talking to mobile operators and regulators in order to gain as much information as possible before outlining the spectrum plans.
According to Steve Blythe, the Director of Spectrum Strategy for Orange mobile, the earliest that the 2600 and 800 MHz spectrum auction could take place would be the end of summer in 2011. Let us just hope that this spectrum auction is more of a success than the last one!
Orange, the popular mobile phone provider, has launched a new HD mobile voice trial as it considers rolling out HD mobile voice nationwide by the end of summer 2010.
The trial will run between Southampton, Bristol and Reading on the Orange network. According to Orange spokespeople, the trial will use Nokia mobiles that are HD-enabled.
Orange has said in the past that it would have eight HD-voice mobiles in its portfolio by the first half of 2010. However, we have yet to see this and despite the trial, it doesn’t look as if we’ll be seeing an influx of HD voice mobiles any time soon from Orange.
Orange, the popular mobile phone operator, has provided an endorsement for GPS tracking, after apparently conducting research into lone workers such as postmen and guards.
Orange has said that according to its research, almost 40% of lone workers have a positive feeling about their employers tracking them via their mobile phones – so that should they go missing or have an accident, someone will know.
Well, I’m not too sure where Orange has been looking, but the majority of people that I know would have a huge problem if their bosses could track them at any time.
Orange, the popular mobile phone operator, has announced its new security features, especially for business customers who need secure business mobiles. The new security solutions are the result of Orange mobile partnering with two encryption specialists – Becrypt and Barron McCann, network security specialists.
Orange, along with the two security companies, will be improving the managed VPN (virtual private network) that Orange offers. Orange will also be offering its business customers USIMs on a 3G/3G+ wireless internet network, which creates a secure and authorised network for business mobiles.
