Panasonic Professional Broadcast and IT Systems (PBITS) has won a contract to supply the Slovak TV station ‘TV Markíza’ with professional and up to date video equipment. Which must make a nice change for them really.
TV Markíza chose Panasonic because the PBITS have a reputation for useful features, excellent quality and more importantly, excellent warranty conditions. Maintenance is something Panasonic does well be it videos or phone systems and when you pay out for some of the best video gear money can buy, you sure as heck don’t want to be shelling out more for maintenance – and let’s face it, when it comes to shelling out money, TV Markíza sure ain’t no BBC1!
Panasonic Broadcast and IT Systems (PBITS) today announced that its low-cost, lightweight AG-HMC41E camcorder will be available to professional users in the European market from the end of August 2009. Part of Panasonic’s maintenance growing line-up of professional AVCCAM handheld camcorders, the AG-HMC41E is capable of recording high-quality HD footage onto convenient and widely-available SD/SDHC memory cards as a way to eliminate the use of tape. Until March 2010, the camcorder will also be offered to users with Edius Neo 2 software from Thomson Canopus, making the transition to Panasonic’s AVCHD system and to tapeless HD recording as cost-effective as possible. Finally, the tapeless cam is here – no more taping over things with Heartbeat!
